Robin Cannings

Robin Cannings has been driving innovation with Engie and Storengy UK since 2006. A graduate in Electronic Engineering from the University of Sheffield, Robin began his career delivering global IT projects before transitioning into the energy sector.

In his current role, Robin leads the commercial strategy for the Stublach Gas Storage facility, advancing energy storage solutions and spearheading Storengy UK’s hydrogen initiatives. He focuses on building strong partnerships to unlock opportunities such as large-scale hydrogen storage in salt caverns, accelerating the UK hydrogen storage strategy, and engaging with government and industry on regulatory frameworks—all aimed at supporting the UK’s transition to a low-carbon future.
